In this exclusive interview, we sit down with Sabina Barbara, a woman whose journey moves far beyond titles and stages. From her early years in competitive fitness to representing elegance on the Miss Universe Switzerland platform, she has evolved into a conscious style voice shaped by discipline, confidence, and emotional intelligence. Today, she blends the worlds of fashion, coaching, and identity with intention, proving that true elegance is not worn — it is cultivated within.
Interviewer – From your fitness titles to your Miss Universe Switzerland journey, how has your definition of beauty and elegance transformed through the years?

Sabina – My journey started in the world of fitness, where discipline shaped my mindset and my body. Back then, beauty for me was very connected to strength, resilience, and performance. Over the years, especially with my experience in Miss Universe Switzerland, I discovered a softer and more emotional layer of elegance — one that comes from self-knowledge, confidence, and inner calm.
Today, beauty for me is balance: the harmony between discipline and femininity, power and softness, ambition and grace.
Interviewer – You’ve worn different roles — athlete, model, life coach. Which of these personas most defines your fashion identity today?

Sabina – All of them live inside me, but the life coach in me probably defines my fashion identity the most. I always choose pieces that reflect alignment — how I feel, what I want to communicate, and the energy I want to bring into a room.
The athlete gave me strength, the model gave me presence, but the life coach gave me consciousness.
That is why my style is intentional, structured, and expressive.
Interviewer – Your recent presence through Lifestyle Plus Magazine at New York Fashion Week (with Runway 7 as editorial partner) was stunning. What was the most unforgettable moment behind the scenes?
Sabina – Thank you. New York Fashion Week was a dream — fast, intense, emotional.
The most unforgettable moment was right before stepping onto the runway set for the editorial shoot. Everything paused for one second: the lights, the noise, the rush. I told myself, “Sabina, you made it here… breathe it in.”
That moment of silence in the middle of such a chaotic environment is something I will never forget.
Interviewer – How do Swiss culture and aesthetics influence your personal style and sense of sophistication?

Sabina – Switzerland has a quiet elegance — minimal, refined, and timeless. Growing up here taught me to appreciate quality over excess, simplicity over noise, and natural beauty over trends.
My style reflects that: clean lines, fine details, structured silhouettes, and neutral tones with personality. Swiss elegance is not loud — it’s felt.
Interviewer – You have a background in real estate and life coaching — two very different worlds. How do they both inform your professional confidence and your connection to fashion branding?

Sabina – Real estate taught me negotiation, vision, and how to read people — three essential skills for any public figure. Life coaching taught me empathy, emotional intelligence, and presence.
Fashion, surprisingly, connects both worlds: it’s communication. It’s how you introduce yourself to the world before you say a word.
My professional confidence comes from knowing exactly who I am and what energy I bring into every room.
Interviewer – If you could collaborate with any designer for a capsule inspired by Switzerland, what textures or details would define it?
Sabina – I would choose a designer who understands purity, structure, and emotion — someone who creates elegance through simplicity.
The capsule would include:
- Textures inspired by Swiss nature: soft alpine wool, structured satin, and delicate organza that moves like mountain air;
- Tones inspired by the landscape: winter whites, forest greens, metallic gold touches, and soft rose tones;
- Silhouettes that express strength and femininity at the same time.
It would be a celebration of Swiss identity through movement and form.
Interviewer – Finally, what is elegance to you — is it movement, silence, confidence, or the balance of all three?

Sabina – Elegance is the balance — absolutely. It’s the way you enter a room, the way you breathe, the way you stay calm in chaos.
Elegance is movement with purpose, silence with presence, and confidence without arrogance.
It’s not something you wear — it’s something you become.
As our interview comes to a close, Sabina leaves us with a reminder that elegance is not an image, but a lifelong practice of balance, awareness, and inner harmony. Her path reflects a powerful truth: every chapter prepares us for the next, and every experience contributes to who we become. With her evolving vision, conscious presence, and unwavering grace, she continues to inspire others to pursue growth with intention — not to impress the world, but to express themselves.
