For Jotajoseph, fashion was never simply about clothing. It was about identity, transformation, movement, and the possibility of taking a personal story far beyond the place where it began. Known online as @Jotajoseph, Joseph has spent more than a decade building a presence through digital content and social media, creating a visual world shaped by fashion, travel, lifestyle, and storytelling. What began in Colombia as a creative outlet gradually evolved into something much larger: an international modeling career that has taken him to some of the most influential fashion cities in the United States.
Today, Joseph stands at an exciting point in his journey. He is no longer simply a digital creator who found his way into modeling. He has become a runway presence in his own right, walking across fashion platforms in Miami, Los Angeles, and New York while carrying with him the perspective of a Colombian creative who believes international success does not require abandoning where you came from.
His story is one of evolution, persistence, and ambition.
Joseph began building his career through digital content more than ten years ago while still in Colombia. Fashion, travel, lifestyle, and visual storytelling were already natural interests, and social media gave him a space to transform those interests into a community. Creating content allowed him to develop something that would later become one of his greatest professional strengths: the ability to understand image, communicate with an audience, and create a recognizable personal identity.
Modeling emerged naturally from that foundation.

After participating in photoshoots and commercial projects, Joseph discovered that the runway offered a different kind of creative energy. There was something about stepping onto a runway and becoming part of a designer’s vision that resonated with him deeply. Instead of simply creating an image for an audience, he could physically embody the story behind a collection.
One of the defining moments came through Doral Fashion Week, where he had the opportunity to model with IDOL JOSÉ. The experience became a turning point, opening the door to opportunities beyond his initial market and helping Joseph recognize that modeling could become a serious international career.
From there, his path continued to expand.
He began appearing on platforms connected to FDLA, Art Hearts Fashion, The Bureau Fashion Week, and The LAB Shows, building experience while establishing his presence within increasingly competitive fashion environments. Miami became an important part of that development, followed by opportunities in Los Angeles and eventually New York.
For Joseph, reaching New York represented more than another destination. It represented proof that the journey had moved beyond its original boundaries.
His transition from digital creator to runway model is particularly significant because he did not follow the traditional route into fashion. Instead, he brought an existing digital identity with him.
That experience has given him an unusual understanding of modern fashion.
He knows that a runway show does not end when the model leaves the stage. Today, fashion exists simultaneously on the runway, on social media, through video, in photography, and within global digital communities. Joseph understands both sides of that equation. He knows how to walk into a physical fashion environment, but he also understands how to communicate that experience to an audience online.
That combination has become part of what makes him distinctive.

“I didn’t come from a traditional fashion path,” Joseph explains. His audience came first, and his runway career followed. Rather than seeing those experiences as separate, he considers them two parts of the same story.
At the heart of that story is Colombia.
Joseph wants his career to represent more than individual achievement. He sees his international journey as an opportunity to demonstrate what Colombian and Latin American talent can accomplish on global stages.
There is a gap between talented creatives and international opportunities, particularly when geography, access, and industry connections create barriers. Joseph wants to help narrow that distance through his own example. His journey demonstrates that a career can begin locally while the ambition remains global.
For an emerging Colombian model watching from home, seeing Joseph walk in Miami, Los Angeles, or New York can become a powerful reminder that international fashion is not necessarily out of reach.
That sense of representation is one of the strongest motivations behind his work.
Growth, however, remains the force driving Joseph forward.
His career has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, particularly during 2026. What began as a digital career more than a decade ago has developed into an international modeling profile, accompanied by significant recognition.

Among the milestones he is most proud of are receiving the Fénix Award for Mejor Modelo en Pasarelas Internacionales and being recognized as Mejor Modelo at Premios Nuestro Talento. He was also recognized by the Mayor of Doral during Doral Fashion Week and received additional nominations at the Premios Ícono in Miami.
These recognitions are important, but Joseph sees them as symbols rather than destinations.
For him, the real achievement lies in the transformation behind them.
The journey from creating content in Colombia to walking major fashion platforms in New York represents years of discipline, consistency, and willingness to evolve. His experiences with fashion platforms connected to FDLA and Art Hearts Fashion, along with The Bureau Fashion Week and The LAB Shows, have helped establish the runway as a central part of his professional identity.
Then came another unforgettable visual marker of that journey: seeing his image displayed on a Times Square billboard.
For any model, seeing their image in one of the world’s most recognizable commercial spaces can be surreal. For Joseph, it represented something deeper. It was a moment in which the distance between where he started and where he had arrived became visible.
Yet he remains focused on what comes next.
His ambitions now extend beyond the United States.
Europe and Asia are increasingly part of Joseph’s vision for the future. Paris and Milan stand high on his list of goals, while Shanghai and Dubai represent additional markets he hopes to explore. He wants to work with international designers, agencies, and fashion platforms while continuing to develop a career capable of crossing borders.
His dream list also includes some of fashion’s most recognizable houses, including Prada, Ferragamo, and Dolce & Gabbana.
But his ambitions are not limited to walking for prestigious brands.
Joseph also wants to continue developing JotaJoseph as a global platform. After more than ten years of creating content and cultivating a community, he sees an opportunity to make the platform larger than his own modeling career. Fashion, travel, culture, and Colombian talent can all exist within the same creative universe.
That vision reflects the evolution of Joseph himself.
The creator and the model are not competing identities. They are complementary parts of one career.

His definition of success reflects that philosophy. Success, for Joseph, is not simply measured by followers, awards, or the number of fashion capitals listed on a résumé. It is about having the freedom to become the person he imagined when he first began.
It is about longevity.
It is about creating opportunities.
It is about representing Colombia internationally.
And perhaps most importantly, it is about inspiring someone else to believe that their starting point does not have to determine their destination.
Jotajoseph’s journey is still unfolding. The Colombian creator who began building an audience more than a decade ago has now become an international runway model with New York, Miami, and Los Angeles already woven into his story. Europe and Asia are waiting on the horizon.
He does not simply want to arrive in another city, walk another runway, and move on.
He wants people to remember the journey.
He wants every new stage to carry a piece of Colombia with it.
And as Jotajoseph continues moving from one fashion capital to another, that may ultimately become his most powerful signature: not simply being seen around the world, but making sure the world remembers where he came from.
